3rd Annual Texas Frog Fest May 28-29 It takes place every Memorial Day weekend and has become the most patriotic entertainment venue at the beach. The Texas Frog Festival hosted by BRINT Construction is an annual event
that raises funds to maintain the Lone Survivor retreat facility on the Bolivar Peninsula. TXFF 2016 will take place May 28-29 at 1609 State Hwy 87 in Crystal Beach. Showcasing local and national artists like Bag of Donuts and Tracy Byrd, special guest appearances, and fun activities for the kids, this year’s festival is shaping up to be the best one yet! www.texasfrogfest.com

Houston Audubon First Saturdays Beach Ramble Hosted by the Houston Audubon Society, come explore Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary and see what the forces of
nature have left behind as Conservation Specialist Pete Deichmann dictates. Use spotting scopes to look for birds, shells, animal tracks, and anything that has washed ashore. It’s a naturalist walk suitable for all ages. First Saturdays Beach Rambles meet the first Saturday of each month at 10 am at the vehicular barrier on the beach located about 3/4 mile west of Rettilon Road. www.houstonaudubon.org May/June 2016
