Welcome to our winter edition of Rochdale Style. Style is celebrating eight years of promoting the positives of Rochdale, both in business and pleasure. The economic climate has totally changed in that period and the landscape of our town is also changing dramatically. The arrival of the tram in 2013 will mark a much-heralded transformation of our transport system, together with the opening of the travel interchange next to the new council offices Number One Riverside. These positives changes for the town are having a slightly negative effect on the number of people visiting our independent shops, due to lengthy road closures. Some shops are tricky to get to at the moment, but if you have a look through our gift guide you will see that it really is worth the trip, as they have plenty to offer this Christmas.
