LOCAL TALENT ON DISPLAY Number Ten Gallery, on Baillie Street, is now in its sixth successful year of business and is the place to go in Rochdale for quality greeting cards, gifts and artwork. They offer an excellent range of greetings cards produced by small publishers or local artists - and if they don't have the exact card you want, with a little notice, it could be specially made for you.
You can leave a deposit on any artwork and pay in instalments if you wish, in order to secure the perfect gift.
Number Ten's varied selection of gifts is carefully sourced from crafts people both locally and further afield to offer you a choice in wood, glass, ceramics, jewellery and textiles - many are oneoff pieces. There is always a variety of artists' work on show in the shop. In addition to this, they have gallery space where you can visit an exhibition usually preceded by a great preview evening.
Colin Meredith from Rochdale Ghost Walks was recently invited to be the model for the Wednesday artists' group in February. He took home a picture drawn by talented local artist Terry McMahon. If you're a local artist or photographer you could host your own exhibition. Or why not attend one of the Gallery's workshops where you can meet like-minded people and learn new skills.
