SCI-Arc Thesis : Social Housing 2.0 Author: Tarun Hari
We live in a world where social media is mainstream, it is transforming each and every industry, including Architecture. This thesis is a formal representation where the mirroring amplifies and extentuates the interior.
This is a social housing project in response to a competition brief. It is located in Marseilles in the midst of a dense urban fabric. A discretely infinite interior is created in a housing project where spaces are packed. The interior of the building looks closely at mirroring (one way mirrors, two way and transparent glass). The exterior comprised of a pixelated mesh carefully lets in light at specific points to elevate the experience of social housing.
