Once again, we have only brought our very best bulls to the sale. The linkage of Captain Morgan and Springcreek Liner 56U has built some elite genetics in the Sun Rise Program. It was a fortunate day, when along with Black Sand Cattle Co., we purchased Springcreek Tara 7P, the lead off cow and high seller at a Spring Creek Sale. She has been a leading lady in our down-sized herd (since 2013) and shows up on three of our five lots today. She was then flushed to Springcreek Liner 56U and Wallbanger. Daughters out of these flushes have been super productive, raising our feature sale bulls, JTC 3D and JTC 7D. A Captain Morgan son of ‘7P’ sired another feature sale bull, JTC 40D. Presently, MBJ 7P is in the Maxwell flush program where Glen reports that she is still very sound and youthful looking. They have ‘Riddler’ calves on the ground that look very promising. Having ‘7P’ in your pedigrees has proven to be a very solid building block. Look for this very progressive influence to continue by investing in these feature sale bulls.
