When Wilf Davis was here in early January it was -25C to -30C, not very nice weather to take pictures. We didn’t get as many taken as usual but as Wilf lives in Douglas, MB, it’s a long way to Gladmar, SK and we tried our hardest. 55D is off an exceptional Accelerator-Pocahontas 68M daughter that has sons working at Cockburn Red Angus at Briercrest, SK and Diamond K Cattle Co., Maple Creek, SK. She has a Horizon daughter at Erixon Simmentals that was purchased as one of our feature females at Simmsational 2015. 217X also produced one of our favorite cows here at the ranch, 154Z, who is the mother of Lot 8. Lot 6 is a full brother by blood to Lot 1, both sired by Vegas and out of full sisters. He will sire the right kind of calves in kind, type and quality. What a set of steers he would sire!

He is out of an excellent first calf red El Tigre daughter that has a beautiful udder. We’re sure 59D is homo polled, though we didn’t test him, as his grandmother was peaked polled and always had polled calves and of course El Tigre is homo polled. This smooth made Sheriff calf would be a sure bet to use in the heifer pen. Take a look at his EPDs – they don’t get much better.

IPU RED ZONE 61D
This is a bull that we have admired from birth. He is sired by the powerful Red Zone bull and out of one of our favorite cows, 154Z, a Red Force daughter going back again to the Pocahontas 68M cow family. His full brother sold to Sonny Berndt from Rugby, ND in last year’s sale and he was identical to 61D. Both are dark red, soggy, full of meat and muscle, very loose made and are homo polled. We think this Red Zone son has a lot of potential – great sire, great mother, great bull.
