Welcome to the 9th Annual Impact Bull Sale. The last year has been a true test of emotion with the highs and low’s we saw last summer and fall. A very wet harvest was delayed or even left uncompleted and calves were late getting weaned or shipped to town. However on the up side yields for the most part were really good, Charolais sired calves were outselling all the others as the market regained itself. McAvoy Charolais also had a very successful fall on the show road. The bulls we have on offer this year are another exciting group that consists of bulls that were at the top of the breed last fall, good hairy, rugged, performance bulls to bulls with plenty of calving ease out of our first calvers. We are doing something a little different this year by using this opportunity to do some fundraising for our local rink, that was lost to fire in May 2015. We will be donating the value of one bull from the sale to the Perdue Arena Rebuild Fund. A representative will be there sale day to take donations if you so choose. A special thanks to T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. and Saskatoon Livestock Sales for their support in our endevour. On May 23, 2015 our local arena, the heart of our community, was consumed by flames and totally destroyed. Since that time, the Perdue Arena Rebuild Project has begun. The arena is at lockup stage with work to resume again in late March. To date over $1.25 m has been raised including insurance proceeds from the fire. Our committee is hard at work with fundraising events and a donor drive. To complete the project we require $500,000.00 more (a 15% contingency included). This money will be used to finish the interior, boards and glass, etc. With the support from the people and volunteers of Perdue and surrounding area, our dream is becoming a reality.....”ONE RAFTER AT A TIME”.
