Here at Clayridge Stock Farms we are a 4th generation family run farm with 400 home raised black angus cows, located near Fairlight in south east Saskatchewan. We use Black Angus & Herford bulls from reputable breeders. Our breeding season is 60 days with our cows and 45 with our heifers. Fertility, disposition, easy fleshing ability, maternal instinct, and calving ease are the traits we strive for in our replacement heifers. We start calving in the beginning of April with the heifers & second week of April with cows. Some steer calves are sold in the fall, but most are backgrounded and sold later in the winter or spring via auction either thru the ring or on DLMS. All the heifers are kept till spring when the top 2/3 is sent to pasture to be bred and rest is culled. Traditionally bred heifers have been sold privately, but last year we partnered with 4 other producers, and had a sale in Virden MB. (Beyond Borders Bred Heifer) featuring quality replacement F1 bred females. Calves are vaccinated when they go out to pasture and again when weaned with 8-way. Heifers are vaccinated in winter & prebreeding with live modified, for ibr,bvd.

RSK Farms is a family-run mixed farm which began operation in 1984. We are located approximately 14 kilometers east of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada along the Trans-Canada Highway. RSK Farms breeds approximately 120 females which consist of Purebred Polled Hereford and Commercial Cross cattle, with a goal of calving 200 Hereford calves a year. Our commercial herd is based around a three way cross of Hereford, Angus, and Simmental. Many of our commercial females will be utilized in our ET program. RSK Farms uses AI and ET breeding strategies to source some of the breed’s top genetics and in turn use our top producing females to create quality offspring that display improved consistency, performance maternal traits and carcass.
