It is with great enthusiasm as I sit and write my sale management comments for the 2017” Best of Both Worlds” sale. We are constantly writing new chapters in the beef business lately and I feel 2017 will be no exception. After a rather turbulent ride in the 2016 marketplace, I feel we are starting to see a positive correction moving upward at a more attainable pace and fashion. The 2017 offering is the strongest to date. This group of bulls is the result of countless hours both searching and planning these genetic gems. The Double Bar D team has always prided themselves in providing the freshest most sought after genetics in the marketplace. Coupled along side of one of the largest Simmental cowherds in North America, the Double Bar D program has produced some of the breeds finest. This year’s group is what you would expect to find, a diverse group of stout, sound, hairy, phonetically correct set of yearling and extra aged bulls ready to go to work and built to last. As always, the sale offering will consist of Fullblood, Red, Black and Sim/Angus bulls to more than meet any producers needs, adding maternal strength to you cowherd and more pounds to each calf crop you market. The Double Bar D breeding program is constantly progressing, improving and evolving. They never seem to take their eye of the ball and are constantly raising the bar higher regarding the type of product they produce and the commitment to service for you the customer. They have been in the agriculture and the seed-stock business for multi generations and continue to grow and excel as time progresses. This program is truly one to tie to and propel your own operations forward in the future. Once again, we will have the very top cut of Greg Goudy’s Swan Lake program for your appraisal. Greg’s passion and knowledge of the Simmental breed is evident as you flip over his offering. As only the very best from the Double Bar D program is slated for sale, the Swan Lake program follows the same guidelines along selection and customer service.
