My friends and I shoot, fish, and hang out almost every day. When we are together, we normally eat at someone’s house and spend time with their families. On nice days out, we go out to the lake or play basketball. Most influenced by & why: My parents have made the biggest impact in my life. Since the day I was born, they have been nothing less than supportive of the decisions that I have made. However, my father is whom I am the most influenced by. Regardless of being raised in a family full of women, my father has truly taught and showed me what a true man is like and what responsibilities this role comes with. He is a hardworking individual with tremendous life values. He has shared much experience and wisdom with me as I have progressed in life. His personality has definitely had an immense impact on who I am and how I live my life to this day. Most memorable moment: My favorite memory is when our Senior FCCLA Entrepreneurship team made it to state. We had just missed state by one place. However, it was a regular Friday morning when Mrs. Richards walked in and asked if I knew where Mariana and Joey (my team members) were. I told her they were in Mrs. Hoppe’s class. Mrs. Richards had a very serious face and I was concerned of what might have happened. We made it to the third floor where she had just pulled Mariana and Joey out from class. When she turned and faced us three, she had the biggest smile on her face and told us that we had made it to state. We all were surprised and filled with joy. It was one of the best memories I had. We traveled to Dallas and participated in our FCCLA event and had a great time at the convention.

Future plans: After High School, I intend to graduate from boot camp in the U.S. Army Texas National Guard. After I return from the Army, I plan to attend Angelo State University to earn a degree in History. I intend to minor in English and Spanish and obtain my teaching certificate. I would like to pursue a career in teaching and coaching. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I envision myself living in a good house with a dog in the backyard. I am teaching in a small rural town. I wish to be married and my wife also working in the local area as well. Every day I get off work I imagine coming home to a safe neighborhood and greeting our neighbors. I long to have a career of a teacher and having kids and one day teaching them in my U.S. History class as well as coaching them on the field.

Achievements: FCCLA: 1-4 Hobbies: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my mother, grilling, listening to music and going to the lake. Most influenced by & why: I am most influenced by my mother and Coach Acree. My mother, because she is the kindest person I know; I strive to do as great as she does. She has the words that motivate me and can keep me in focus. She has all kinds of faith in me, even when I don’t believe in myself. She is truly my number one fan and I thank God for her. Coach Acree has shown me that it’s okay to be yourself, he shows incredible amounts of support to me and on days when I’m feeling down all I need is one of his hugs and that instantly puts a smile on my face. He gives life lessons that really stick with you and shares amazing stories of his past. I hope he gets to continue to share his advice with anyone in his future, and I pray he will always remain a happy and bright spirited soul. Most memorable moment: Once in the eighth grade we had gone on a field trip to the zoo and afterwards we went to a park and some kids had started arguments with a friend of mine and they had ended up stealing his shoes, and we had to try and get his shoes back before we left. This just lead to a whole lot of kids ganging up on him and playfully hitting him with sticks. Eventually we got his shoes back but definitely not without a fight. Future plans: I plan to possibly pursue either nursing school or cosmetology school. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, I see myself somewhere in Africa with my best friend, on an elephant, while exploring the land.
