Lighting Up The Hardpack

From Public Works — The Public Work Maintenance Division recently installed new turtle friendly lighting along the Emergency Access Road located at the beach. The new lighting is designed to provide a safe walking environment at night for residents. More lighting is planned and is expected to be installed throughout 2023.

THE TOWN’S CUSTOMER SELF-SERVICE PORTAL EXPANDS, NEW PERMITS ADDED

From the Building Department — Surfside’s Customer Self-Service Portal is implementing the following seven permits to its current permit roster. Community members are encouraged to take advantage of the streamlined online service that will reduce turnaround wait time. Please be sure to complete the needed fillable PDF forms found at townofsurfsidefl.gov/forms and submit them via the CSS portal alongside the permit application.

The following are the new additions the Building Department has expanded to the Customer SelfService Portal:

1. Electrical Permit-Residential

2. Plumbing Permit-Residential Potable Water Supply

3. Plumbing Permit-Residential Sanitary Drainage

4. Mechanical Permit-Residential

5. Garage Sale Permit-Residential

6. Right of Way Permit-Residential

7. Right of Way Permit- Commercial

Once your permit submittal is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email notification for payment of permit fees.
