One of the reasons the Wicked musical has captivated audiences worldwide is that it is a Wizard of Oz prequel story, adapted and reinvented from Gregory Maguire’s novel about a green woman coming of age in Oz. But more than that, it’s a moving tale of two witches and a dazzling green-themed spectacle. This Event is not only a fundraiser, but it also serves as a quality of life event for the children and families impacted by pediatric cancer. It allows them to participate in opportunities and events where cancer doesn’t take center stage, because the spotlight is on the children. In addition to the national celebrity host, dozens of local media and sports celebrities join and escort the beautiful children modeling on the runway.
