Awww, where did the summer go? As we get older time seems to pass by more quickly every day. The warm afternoons spent by the water, at the beach, or lounging around the swimming pool, have become cherished memories.

This winter Rhino will be cruising the Virgin Islands and the St. Maarten/St. Barth’s/Anguilla region, but Captain Shane is also receptive to guests who desire to head further south in the Caribbean to Antigua, Dominica, St. Lucia, The Grenadines, Grenada and other lovely islands in between.

Our party was greeted in St. Thomas by Rhino’s captain Shane Reid and from that point on, the level of luxury, comfort and understated service we received was unparalleled. Our 3-day journey took us along some of the most beautiful corners of the Virgin Islands while we relaxed, played and dined under the professional, dutiful and fun care of the outstanding crew of 10.

Rhino offers elegant accommodations for 10 guests in 5 spacious staterooms. A King Master Stateroom with private office on the main deck, and on the lower deck, 2 Queen Staterooms and 2 Twin Staterooms, which can convert to King. Total flexibility is key for any charter party.
Chef Brent Ryals made dining onboard Rhino a true gastronomic delight. From ensuring that every dietary need and preference was met, to anticipating what freshly baked pastries might result in breakfast smiles, planning a light al-fresco lunch or crafting an elegant multi-course dinner, his talent and creativity were indisputable. Among our favorite offerings—Sunday lunch on the aft deck: Pan Seared Snapper with Roasted Tomato Butter, Chili Garlic Roasted Broccoli and Orecchiete with Basil & Parsley, Mixed Green Salad with Pepitas, Shaved Fennel, Bermuda Onion and Avocado, followed by heavenly brownies a-la-mode.

What to do Over the relaxing course of our 3 days onboard, we had time to unwind and enjoy a Caribbean breeze on the sumptuous sundeck, play with the astonishing multitude of water toys—Seabobs were a sensation, take a tender to world-class snorkeling destinations or get up before sunrise for a session of photography.

The outstanding crew of Rhino WAS MORE THAN WILLING TO PAMPER EACH GUEST, BUT MORE AMAZINGLY, THEY ANTICIPATED EVERYONE’S WISHES AND WERE INTUITIVE ENOUGH TO SUGGEST THE NEXT ACTIVITY THAT WOULD SUIT THEIR PERSONALITIES, OR ACCOMPANY THEM ON FUN ADVENTURES SUCH AS KAYAK RIDES OR EXCURSIONS ASHORE.
Playtime On our first Caribbean morning the toys were all prepared for our enjoyment. Seabobs, SUPs, Waverunners, Kayaks and more, the most adventurous guests set out on their own, but what made the morning a true fun affair was the disposition of the attentive crew to partner up with even a shy guest or two and take them on a kayak journey ashore or teach them how to operate the Seabobs, ensuring a good time for all.

What to visit Our 3-day journey was short but complete. A St. Thomas start provided the perfect base for exploring the area and 3 snorkeling excursions were arranged for the group. An afternoon ashore on St. John was great for sightseeing and a little local shopping. On the wish list? Extra time next time!
