COLLEGE DUTY OFFICER (CDO)

College Duty Officers are senior students who are rostered each evening and on weekends to be the first point of call outside of business hours in case you need assistance or, more likely, when you lock yourself out of your room, or on the rare occasion your room key should fail. As with all student leaders, CDOs are community builders through their presence and positive relationships across the College.

Of an evening and on weekends, the CDO on duty will carry out routine walk-arounds the College, charged with the responsibility of responding to noisy social behaviour and knowing when to escalate or report concerns or incidents to the Junior Dean on Duty. So, take it as given that you will undoubtedly come across a CDO reminding students to turn their music off after 10.30pm, or even asking a gathering in a room or common room to dissipate when there’s a disturbance!

We suggest you save the CDO number in your phone contacts now 0422 888 970!

Remember, only reach out to the CDO number after hours. During office hours, you’ll need to swing past reception if you can’t access your room.

In the case of an emergency, significant medical condition, break-in, electrical fault etc., please contact the CDO who will assist you directly or refer the problem to a Junior Dean, or other relevant senior College resident. Who’s Who?
