The Book Club! Some of the members of the library team had the initiative to put forward the idea of arranging a “Hunger Games” themed book club. This turned out to be an excellent success, attracting a huge crowd, consisting of the different year groups. This occasion was thoroughly enjoyed by all, through engaging the students with kahoot quizzes and most importantly enticing them with cake! The library team’s hard work and dedication most certainly led to a triumph, as the room was quite literally packed most definitely the book club will be popular and a noteworthy event in the future!

The Decorating Committee!

Halloween Shortly before Halloween, the Decorating Committee transformed the library into a spooky haven with eerie decorations. From the witch nestled in the corner near the bookshelves to the frightening monsters suspended from the window, the ambience was enough to send shivers down the spine!

Christmas Approaching the Christmas Holidays, the Decorating Committee played a crucial role in infusing a festive atmosphere into the library by adorning it with a variety of Christmas ornaments. From the Christmas tree to the Santas, the library appeared incredibly festive for the holiday season!

Writing Workshop with Denise Deegan In October, Irish screenwriter and author, Denise Deegan, paid the 1st years a visit and held a writing workshop for them in the library. The 1st years thoroughly enjoyed talking to her and learnt many new skills that they will undoubtedly take with them into all of their creative writing endeavours in the future! We would like to extend our many thanks to Denise Deegan for her time and for sharing her knowledge!
