LYD & KUNST ÅRSMØDE #1: BÆREDYGTIGHED

Hvordan arbejder vi med klima, grøn omstilling og bæredygtighed inden for den kunst, der har lyd som bærende element?

Lyd & Kunst Årsmøde er et nyt årligt initiativ sat i verden af SPOR, Sound Art Lab og Struer Tracks. Sammen vil de skabe et rum for vidensdeling til alle dem, der beskæftiger sig kunstnerisk med lyd. I hjertet af Lyd & Kunst Årsmøde er et fokus på klima, grøn omstilling og bæredygtighed.

How do you work with climate, green transition and sustainability in art that deals with sound as a main element?

The Sound & Art annual meeting is a new annual initiative launched by SPOR, Sound Art Lab, Struer Tracks, SNYK and the Danish Composers’ Association. Together they want to create a space where knowledge can be shared among those, who work with sound in their art. At its core, the Sound & Art annual meeting wishes to focus on climate, green transformation and sustainability. Important points in society and in cultural life. The question is; how do we work with it in an artistic practice or institution? The Sound & Art annual meeting seeks to answer this question together with international participants, who work with this topic and have a certain knowledge to share about climate, green transformation and sustainability.

Vigtige fokuspunkter i samfundet – og i kulturlivet. Spørgsmålet er, hvordan vi arbejder med det i en kunstnerisk praksis eller institution? Lyd & Kunst Årsmøde stiller skarpt på netop det spørgsmål sammen med spændende internationale aktører, der arbejder med og har særlig viden om klima, grøn omstilling og bæredygtighed i kunsten.

Deltagelse i Lyd & Kunst Årsmøde er gratis (frokost og kaffe inkluderet), og alle er velkomne. Tilmelding nødvendig, se sporfestival.dk for info.

PROGRAM

11.00-13.00 Welcome at ARoS & guided tour of the Sound Art in Public Spaces exhibition in Aarhus city center with curator Raquel Castro. Art by artists Kathy Hinde, Mikhail Karikis, Dawn Scarfe, Saša Spacal and Ragnhild May. 13.00-13.30 Lunch and introduction to the afternoon’s programme 13.30-13.45 Introduction to Sound & Art annual meeting 13.45-15.00 Ecologically sustainable curating and art production Paula Toppila is the Executive Director and Curator of IHME Helsinki. She will tell the story about the ecological turn of the contemporary art commissioning agency IHME Helsinki. In 2018-2019 IHME Contemporary Art Festival transformed into IHME Helsinki. Since then, they have centered ecological sustainability in all their activities. Toppila will tell us about ecologically sustainable curating and art production through the work of artists Jana Winderen, Katie Paterson and Amar Kanwar.
