Although the conditions were challenging, all boats finished the race without a major mishap, and the competition between sailing clubs was cordial at all times. The two clubs will meet again in the spring of 2013 for the annual Coastal Cup Challenge race hosted by GISC to compete for individual honors only, as the boats race offshore from Amelia Island to St. Simon’s Island.

11th Annual Kettle Cup Regatta, Lake Monroe Sailing Association, Sanford, FL, Dec. 1-2 Lake Monroe Sailing Association is hosting the 11th Annual Kettle Cup Regatta benefiting the Salvation Army. Racing will be Saturday and Sunday. Registration will be held Friday night and Saturday morning with the skippers’ meeting following registration.
