F R E SH BÁBOV K A , G R A N DM A’ S A PRO N recipe: Bistro No.19 | text: Adéla Kudrnová | styling: Zástěrka and Boho photo: Adéla Havelková

THE SIMPLEST THINGS IN LIFE MAKE THE MOST SENSE. AN ORDINARY APRON CAN TAKE YOU BACK TO THE MEMORIES OF YOUR CHILDHOOD AND REMIND YOU OF THE SMELL OF HOME. IT IS LIKE HERITAGE, FAMILY SILVER. IT IS AN OBJECT WHICH REPRESENTS TRADITION AND PRESERVES MEMORIES OF MEALS PREPARED TOGETHER – THE MEMORIES THAT NEVER FADE AWAY. In the big April issue of SOFFA 08 we gave you a recipe for an amazing bun created together with the Bistro No.19, Zástěrka Project (Little Apron Project) and Boho Vintage Concept Store. Do you remember? That recipe is a part of a big photo story with which we present you right now, and in which Zástěrka and Boho invite you to the table with them! Every apron here has its own unique story, each story has its soul and no soul is lonely. The combination of historical aprons by Boho Vintage Concept Store with the modern ones by contemporary Czech designers within the Zástěrka Project is an expression of current needs of going back to values such ► PREVIOUS PAGE: Blue onion pattern, traditional bun and aprons! There is hardly a better combination, what do you think? Absolutely anyone can wear an apron. The collection of the Zástěrka Project is wide. From left to right: pink apron by Pavel Ivančic, apron with a decorative buckle by Blueberries, unisex apron by Hana Zárubová, and vintage apron by Boho. LEFT: Who else should put on the vintage floral Grandma’s apron by Boho if not the representative of the oldest generation at the meeting?

as cooking and dining with friends and family. It is the traditional family dining we tried to praise by organising a multigenerational meeting over a cup of tea: representatives of all three projects attended and they all wore unique modern aprons by the Zástěrka Project and original vintage aprons by Boho. Are you charmed by the aprons and you would like to get one for yourself? There are several ways how you could get one! From 16th May until 23rd May 2015 at the Boho Vintage Concept Store venue there will be an exclusive selling exhibition of limited Zástěrka collections in the creative realisation of Boho. The opening ceremony will take place on 16th May 2015 and will be in a form of a gastronomic feast, which is also a part of the international movement called Restaurant Day. You are most cordially invited! ► RIGHT: The unisex apron by Hana Zárubová perfectly goes with the simple cut of the Blueberries apron on it. NEXT PAGE: If you fancy a bun, try the one in the pictures. There is a special recipe put together by the Bistro No.19 and the recipe is available here.

THE APRON BY BLUEBERRIES IS ACCOMPANIED BY A COLOURFUL BELT WITH AN ORIGINAL BUCKLE: THE BUCKLE IS A RESULT OF 3D PRINT TECHNOLOGY.

TANČÍCÍ KUCHY N Ě - DA N C I N G K I TC H EN A PLACE FULL OF FUN DESIGN AND COOKING photo and text: company’s archive

Earlier last year Tomas Poucha, an entrepreneur, marketing expert and gourmet decided to create a place where he could meet up with his colleagues, clients and a number of new and interesting people, but he also wanted to a place through which he could combine entertainment and cooking. The idea was further supported by an entrepreneur Michal Stadler and thus the Tančící kuchyně was born: it is an exclusive multi-functional space in a beautiful location in the centre of Prague. It is an exclusive place with a unique idea, mission, and with original workmenship and design of the highest level of standard. The name Tančící kuchyně is not only because it is directly opposite the Dancing House (Tančící dům), but also because of ”the dance of passions“ of the people involved, and various activities that bring joy, fun and energy to the guests. All this can be perceived from the interior, which reflects the enthusiasm of all those involved in designing the space. The Tančící kuchyně is furnished with iconic design pieces and it is fully equipped with the latest and highest-quality kitchen appliances and utensils. The entire space is decorated with an original and traditional ”onion pattern“ which was created by the people from the Savoir Faire company, and which evokes a homely feeling and nostalgia of the Czech cuisine. The space also has its own music compilations designed by the Jon Kennedy Federation. The Tančící kuchyně operates based on the principle of free and independent company. All activities taking place there are enjoyed not only by the visitors but also by the organizers themselves. The space serves as a private café and an unconventional conference room for meetings with clients, but it is also used as a meeting place for Marketing Institute, the Institute of Internal Communication and the exclusive ”Cooking managers club“. Various foodbloggers and fashionbloggers meet here and experiment with new areas of gastronomy; original Fashionation events are organized regularly with the aim to explore different sectors of art and culture and bring people the fascinating topics discussed personally with top designers, fashion designers, photographers, artists and other professionals on the art scene. The Tančící kuchyně also provides a space for activities organised by the association ”Už ti rozumím!” (“I get you now”), which helps people who look after their disabled or handicapped relatives. Throughout one year of its existence the Tančící kuchyně has provided a welcoming atmosphere to a large number of gatherings with educational and entertainment purposes - both private and corporate - and everyone is happy to keep coming back. Prominent clients from the banking, financial, advertising and lifestyle scene meet here and enjoy the uniqueness of the venue as well as its view. In its ‘spare-time’ capacity the Tančící kuchyně offers space for external events to public, so the chance to experience this extraordinary place is offered to everyone. tancicikuchyne.cz
