Tickle your funny bone as you share big laughs with animals and Young Rembrandts. We will start the session as we draw humorous big cats. Join our cuddly friends for laughter filled lessons.

DUE to our summer camps we have limited gym time in summer.

Basketball @ Bascom

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progression curriculum, we focus on the whole player-teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. This class is designed for the beginning to intermediate player. Players should wear appropriate clothing and gym shoes.

Bascom Group Arts

Come check out the Bascom Community Center and relax with some arts and crafts This program is designed to improve fine motor skills, creativity and social skills. Participants will be guided through seasonal art projects and specialty crafts

Organization's staff must accompany clients in a 4 to 1 ratio This program is geared towards groups of people with disabilities

Wheelchair Basketball: Fundamentals

Come out and shoot some hoops with your friends while you learn the exciting sport of wheelchair basketball You will learn new techniques, skills, and practice drills All ability levels welcome Don't miss out! Participants must be able to function in a 1:10 staff to participant ratio, and independent with personal care needs

Simply Cooking

This activity geared towards individuals with disabilities It covers basic kitchen safety, basic menu planning, and preparing simple dishes. There is a lecture, observation, hands on preparation and instructional materials to take home Menu can include breakfast, lunch, dinners, and desserts This class is conducted in a teaching kitchen which utilizes gas burners. Participants must be able to function in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio, independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant for personal care

SPOTLIGHT!

At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs while ensuring CDC safety measures. Camp includes skill building, new friendships, and much more! Campers must be fully potty trained and need to bring water, lunch and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week.

Get outdoors and have some fun F I T Camp offers fitness activities, enrichment, fun interactive games, and a healthy cooking club.

Join us at F I T Camp, a weeklong camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills, and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use an evidence-based curriculum. This summer, your kids will build friendships, grow their confidence, and benefit from outdoor activities Price includes a low leader-to-child ratio of 1:10, a F I T Camp shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning, and much more!

Campers need to bring water, lunch*, and sunscreen each day *Check with your local community center for information on lunch programs, scholarships, and payment plans. Each F.I.T. Camp session runs for 1 week.

Multi-Sport Camp (Baseball, Basketball & Soccer)

Full day @ Calabazas Park

Multi Sport Hawk camp will be NEW & exciting. KIDS will play multiple sports from baseball, basketball to Soccer. Whether your child is a beginner or is more advanced this multi-sport camp is a perfect place for kids to be introduced to the world of sports, teamwork and athletics!

Baseball Camps @ Starbird park

Our Baseball CAMP is a development program for kids that want to engage in fun games while teaching the sport of baseball and developing fundamental skills. The goal is to build fitness, muscle coordination, baseball fundamentals and create a love of the game.

S.N.P. Procedures and Preparation

Age Limits/Cost

Ages 60+: $3 Contribution

Ages -59: $9 Mandatory Fee

For new participants, please complete an SC 1367 Form, and return to SNP Front desk staff. (applications in nutrition room)

Have your gold card ready to scan!

After submitting your 1367, a gold card with barcode will be issued to you. please wait up to a month for the county to process.

For reservations, mark the days on the monthly menu calendar and submit to S.N.P. Staff.

*A Reservation is not a guarantee of meal, meals are limited.

If reservations are full, Walk-ins are accepted @ 11:30.

*you may be added to the reservations, if we have NOT hit the daily limit.

10:30- 11:00

Dining Room Doors open for Registration, Socializing, and Announcements.

11:00- 11:30 Meal Distribution/ Drop Ins

Participants with Reservations begin registration by 11:00a.m.

Meals begin distribution by 11:30a.m.

Arriving early and being seated supports our kitchen and staff in providing excellent service!

If registered participants are not seated by 11:30 they forfiet their meal to a walk in participant!

S.N.P Front Desk staff will accept Walk-Ins at 11:30a.m.

Be sure to be lined up by this time.

Meals are subject to avalibility and are not guaranteed.

12:00-Kitchen CLOSED

No Meals will be provided at this point!

12:15- Dining Room CLOSED

No To-Go Options or supplies provided. Bring own container to take left overs home

Kitchen is limited to a daily number of meals.

Once daily meal count is met-

No further meals can be distributed for the day

Program Information

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.
