Tap/Ballet (CLAP ARTS) This tap/ballet class introduces children to the basics of both ballet and tap, combining creative movement, grace and balance. Students learn basic tap steps such as shuffles, rhythm exercises, and springs, and elementary ballet including plies, tendus, passes, and the basic ballet positions. Wear dance attire and bring tap and ballet shoes. Parents may stay for first 10 min of first class and are invited back at the end of program for a class demonstration. Suggested Attire: Comfortable clothes or leotards, tights and tutus. Students may dance barefoot or wear ballet shoes. Hip Hop (CLAP ARTS) High-energy dance classes provide hours of fun while improving coordination, stamina and overall fitness. Dance steps are introduced in easy to understand language. Mini Gym Stars (DANCE ARTS ACADEMY) A great beginner gymnastics class teaching basic gymnastics skills, including movement exploration, balance and coordination and at the same time, teaching agility and improving motor skills. Kinderprep @ Seven Trees This class prepares your child for kindergarten with ageappropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills and fun. Your child will gain a basic understanding of shapes, colors and pre-phonics and literacy building (i.e. identifying letter sounds and writing the alphabet and simple words), as well as number recognition and counting up to 30. URBAN EXPLORERS Get out and explore! This is a Saturday walking club directed towards teens and young adults with disabilities. Each week, we will meet at the Roosevelt Community Center and travel using public transportation to different trails, museums, festivals and parks in the area. San Jose has a lot to offer its urban dwelling explorers. We'll learn about our unique community settings while meeting new friends and getting a little exercise. Chinese Brush Painting-Open Studio– 9 meetings The single most astonishing fact about Chinese brush painting; is that each brush stroke is a defining move that produces a portion of the painting that is neither improved upon nor corrected. The artist paints with rapid, mentally constructed strokes transporting a "mind image" on mulberry paper. Crafters Who Care This volunteer group makes handcrafted blankets and sweaters. People who like to knit or crochet, or those who would like to learn are invited to join. Iola Williams Senior Program (IWSP) Membership Become a member of the Iola Williams Senior Program at Seven Trees Community Center! Members receive special rates on a variety of classes, events, and more! You can become a member for just $10.00 per calendar year. Please contact Seven Trees front office for more information.

SENIOR ADULTS LEGAL ASSISTANCE (SALA) SALA provides free legal advice, brief consultations, and representation in a wide range of civil (not criminal) legal matters.
