SUMMER CLASSES SPRING CLASSES

MINI GYM STARS

A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, and at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital.

Wear a leotard, stretch pants, sweat pants, or shorts Bare feet during class is suggested Children should secure long hair back in a ponytail

HOOPSTERTOTS (AGES 3-5)

Learning basketball has never been more fun! These classes focus on dribbling, shot technique, passing and team work Adjustable hoops and appropriately sized basketballs are used to always provide just the right amount of challenge.

This class is co-sponsored with Mayfair Community Center and will be held at Mayfair Community Center - 2039 Kammerer Ave, San Jose, CA 95116

BALLET/TAP

Come join the fun! Students will have fun learning Ballet positions, warm-ups, and tap steps Correct technique and terms will be taught Students will learn a dance routine to perform for family and friends. Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a presentation

SOCCERTOTS (AGES 3-5)

SoccerTots is our flagship program! Playable on almost any surface, these soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for young kids to get into Younger age groups focus on developing motor skills and self-confidence; older classes focus more on developing core soccer skills and personal focus and introduce an element of light competition. Instructor-to-student ratio is kept small to maximize individual development, and above all else we promote fun, fun, fun!

Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art that emphasizes striking techniques using punches, kicks, knee strikes, and open-hand techniques, as well as defensive maneuvers, throws, and joint locks It is a discipline that focuses on selfdefense, physical fitness, mental discipline, and personal development

SUMMER CLASSES ADULT 18+

ZUMBA 18+

A Zumba class is a dynamic and exhilarating fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. It incorporates interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms, to help improve cardiovascular fitness The atmosphere in a Zumba class is typically energetic and fun, focusing on enjoying the music and the movements rather than perfecting each step Participants of all fitness levels can join, as the moves can often be modified to suit different abilities The class usually lasts about an hour and is led by a certified Zumba instructor who guides the participants through various dance styles such as salsa, reggaeton, merengue, and cumbia, ensuring a full-body workout that feels more like a dance party than a fitness session.

CHEERLEADING CAMP

This camp teaches young athletes the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team! Each camper will learn cheers, proper hand/body movements as well as jumping techniques There is no stunting, just a big focus on fun while each cheerleader learns important life skills such as teamwork and leadership The week concludes with a final performance and when available, a chance to cheer during a Skyhawks sports scrimmage! THE RECREATION OF CITY KIDS (R.O.C.K.) AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM OFFERS: A Safe And Supportive Environment; Homework Assistance and Enrichments; and Recreation and STEAM Activities

Program Information

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.
