Little Dance Divas

A fun beginning dance class where students will learn Ballet warm-ups, Jazz/ Hip Hop dance and Tap steps! Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital

Mini Gym Stars

A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, and at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills. Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital

Be a gymnastic star! Learn cartwheels, handstands, rolls, round offs, and much, much more! Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital Suggested attire: Wear a leotard, stretchpants, sweat pants, or shorts.Bare feet during class is suggested. Children should secure long hair back in a ponytail.

Zumba

A Zumba class is a dynamic and exhilarating fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves It incorporates interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms, to help improve cardiovascular fitness The atmosphere in a Zumba class is typically energetic and fun, focusing on enjoying the music and the movements rather than perfecting each step Participants of all fitness levels can join, as the moves can often be modified to suit different abilities. The class usually lasts about an hour and is led by a certified Zumba instructor who guides the participants through various dance styles such as salsa, reggaeton, merengue, and cumbia, ensuring a fullbody workout that feels more like a dance party than a fitness session

SAQ training stands for Speed, Agility, and Quickness training

It is a form of exercise and conditioning that focuses on improving an individual's ability to move quickly, change direction, and react efficiently SAQ training is beneficial for athletes in sports that require rapid movements, such as soccer, basketball, tennis, and football, as well as for individuals looking to enhance their overall athleticism and coordination.

Join us at F.I.T. Camp, a weeklong camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills, and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use an evidence-based curriculum. At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs. Camp San Jose Jr. includes skill-building, making new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch, and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week. *Safety is our main priority and we will continue to follow all Santa Clara County and the State of California guidelines.

HIRLN: Kelley Park Art 'n Hike

HIRLN (Head Injury Recreation and Leisure Network) invites you to join us for a hike and art craft at Kelley Park! Join us for a guided tour by a city park ranger to show participants around Kelley Park by talking about the history, animals, plants, and more. We will also partake in a fun craft after the hike. Participants are recommended to wear comfortable walking attire and footwear along with a bottle of water.

HIRLN welcomes you to walk like an Egyptian into taking a self-tour of San José's Rosicrucian Museum. This museum houses a large collection of artifacts from Egyptian times and we're going to see it all. We will be doing a self-guided audio tour, optional if participants would like download the museum's application to learn about the artifacts as we walk through, they may do so through museum's website. Specialist will also provide audio tour as another option.

(AASR) Sport-Mania!

Ready for a night of sports inside a roller rink? Join us to partake in many sports such as Hockey, Volleyball, Hungry Hippo, Boom Ball, and more. Join us for saying goodbye to summer! We bide summer goodbye with our annual BBQ. We will be serving hamburgers with chips and ice cream. Mayfair Group Arts

Come join us at Mayfair Community Center for some arts and crafts fun! Throughout the program participants will improve fine motor skills, increase social skills, and learn to expand their creativity. Each class will be guided by a City Staff. This program is geared towards groups of people with disabilities.

Therapeutic Summer Camp

Diabetes Camp Type 1

This collaborative day camp program is provided by the City of San José's Therapeutic Services and California Diabetes Association. There will be fun activities, outings, games, crafts, and diabetes education. Parental/guardian education meetings available as needed. Nursing staff will be on site to help monitor blood sugars and provide education to participants and families.

Got the notion to get yourself into motion? Join us on Zoom to partake in an online exercise class with each class time being different. We will work on upper and lower body, balance, flexibility, and more all while encouraging participants. Program Information

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.
