FALL LEISURE CLASSES

ARTS & CRAFTS

ELEMENTARY DRAWING

LITTLE ARTIST

Experience the colorful magic of Fall in the Young Rembrandts classroom. Kick off the season with an interesting Iguana, a video game favorite Pixel Block Character and the geometrical world of architecture as we draw the Notre Dame Cathedral. Later, students will immerse themselves in the seasonal spirit as they learn still life technique of pumpkins, draw a detailed Scarecrow, and draw a silly but challenging Patterned Bat. Finally, get ready for Winter as we turn out a "sweet" drawing of a gingerbread house (almost good enough to eat!). We'll draw these (and many more exciting lessons!) while we improve creative and critical thinking skills today's students need. So what are you waiting for? Sign up now!

This fall, your preschooler will "fall" in love with our lessons. Just like the rainbow our youngest artists will create in the month of September; we will cover a colorful and pattern-rich spectrum of subjects. We'll soak in the warm colors of the sun as we draw a radiating sun face and we'll be careful not to get tangled up in our patterned spider web we draw in October! With the coming of the winter months, we will draw and celebrate with a nutcracker that takes his job very seriously. All these (and may more exciting lessons!) while we enhance our fine-motor skills, learn to stay on task and follow directions, and learn the discrimination skills so critical in the classroom!

CRAFTS & TECHNOLOGY

QUILTERS

TECH TIME

Quilting is done on bed spreads, quilt-art wall hangings, clothing, and a variety of textile products. This group loves to design beautiful unique quilts. The class is for beginners and experienced quilters. Lots of helpful advice is available.

Join the Alum Rock Branch Library in a partnership with the Evergreen Community Center (PRNS) as we endeavor to create a virtual friendly space for Active Adults while providing a virtual adaptive technologies programming for this community of life-long learners. During each session, 10 active adults will have the opportunity to experience a range of tech devices (iPhone, iPads, Kindles, laptops...) while receiving virtual support and practice with tech instructors.
