FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING

Ring in the New Year with a Young Rembrandts class for your elementary student. Our budding artist will have the opportunity to flex their creative muscle as they take on fun, artistic challenges like our Jack Russel Terrier and Chinese New Year lessons in the month of January The month of February brings a lot of fun and culture into the classroom as our students' imaginations are whisked away to a masquerade or into the mind of master artist Salvador Dali And in the month of March, get ready for some dinosaur-sized excitement as your elementary student recreates the ferocious T-Rex Young Rembrandts style! YOGA GENTLE TAI CHI

This gentle and slower pace yoga class allows you to practice strength, flexibility, and balance while allowing enough time in each pose to experience the mind body connection This class can help improve breathing, balance and self-awareness Even though gentle yoga isn't "beginner yoga" the pace allows us to cover several variations and everyone is welcomed to join! Tai Chi is an internal form of Chinese Martial Arts known for its slow, graceful movements and breathing techniques. It has become a popular form of exercise all over the world Like most exercises, practicing Tai Chi can help one improve their strength, flexibility, circulation, and relaxation. QUILTERS

Quilting is done on bed spreads, quilt-art wall hangings, clothing, and a variety of textile products. This group loves to design beautiful unique quilts The class is for beginners and experienced quilters Lots of helpful advice is available

TECH TIME

Join the Alum Rock Branch Library in a partnership with the Evergreen Community Center (PRNS) as we endeavor to create a virtual friendly space for Active Adults while providing a virtual adaptive technologies progra m ming for this community of life-long learners. During each session, 10 active adults will have the opportunity to experience a range of tech devices (iPhone, iPads, Kindles, laptops ) while receiving virtual support and practice with tech instructors.

Everyone is welcome to join us to pick up free groceries provided by the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley Sign ups are welcome on the day of distribution First come first serve basis Pick ups are usually the first and third Monday of every month Feel free to pick up a calendar with the distribution dates!

At Camp San José your child will participate in an unforgettable summer day ca m p experience combining summer ca m p traditions with enrichment and educational activities Children will play crazy fun ga m es, sports, create cool arts and crafts projects, sing funny songs, and embark on a weekly field trip. Activities incorporate educational features disguised in fun and entertaining activities and projects Price includes a low leader to child ratio of 1:10, field trips, a Camp San José shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning and much more!

*Fa m ilies opting not to participate in field trips are responsible for finding alternative care for their child(ren) not attending the trip The City will not provide a prorated refund for those that elect not to participate, nor will onsite care be available Campers need to bring water, lunch* and sunscreen each day

*Check with your local community center for a complete list of field trips, lunch progra m s, scholarships, and payment plans Each Camp San José session runs for 1 week

Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of ca m p includes lots of both! Junior Mad Science engineers design and build structures using simple tools and their imaginations Then the machine madness starts children discover how different machines, both simple and complex, are used in our daily lives! Kids design simple machines using pulleys, wedges, screws, levers and have fun learning how catapults work We use the skills we've learned to build a Mad Science robot that we can keep, all while learning the science of robotics!

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school ca.m.puses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and in-service days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.
