FUN!DAMENTALS OF DRAWING GYM STARS

Get ready for summer fun as your budding artist explores the great outdoors with Young Rembrandts Our students will learn how to shade with color pencils in our lantern still life lesson Our mountain boot drawing will give your child the opportunity to create a very detailed and well composed image A heightened awareness of design, pattern and color is the emphasis in our raccoon graphic lesson. Our vibrant geyser drawing will strengthen coloring skills Discover the fantastic world of drawing and Young Rembrandts

Come join the fun! Students will have fun learning Ballet positions, warm-ups and tap steps. Correct technique and terms will be taught Students will learn a dance routine to perform for family and friends!

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players Using our professional curriculum, we focus on the whole player-teaching sportsmanship and teamwork Boys and girls' will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense

Participants should bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Learning basketball has never been more fun! This is the progression class for Froggies More challenging skills and new concepts are introduced. The emphasis is on individual basketball skill development and fitness

Age 3 must attend "Froggies 1" if available.

Learning basketball has never been more fun! Fun, skill development games are played as well as some introduction to basketball and team concepts. Some small-sided scrimmaging is played

FIRST TOUCH FUTSAL

Futsal is a fun, fast paced 5v5 soccer game, played indoors, within the lines of a basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3, low bounced ball In this class players participate in fun educational games. Classes focus on increasing balance, coordination , and fundamental futsal skills We utilize creative fun activities to help kids to cooperate in a group setting and build self esteem in our fun low-pressure environment

MINI-HAWK (BASEBALL & SOCCER)

Age 4 must attend a "Froggies" offering first if available T a structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through games and activities, participants explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace

ADVANCED FUTSAL

Gives the opportunity to receive high-level Futsal instruction in a group setting Emphasis of the program will be on the player development, focusing on ball skills and ball manipulation High-quality coaches will take the players through a number of different attacking/defensive scenarios, helping players make more informed decisions The players will focus on learning how to play as a cohesive unit and will learn the tactics of the game

Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving This class is designed for the beginning and intermediate player

2023 CAMP SAN JOSÉ JR.

At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs while ensuring CDC safety measures. Camp San Jose Jr. includes skill-building, making new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch, and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week.

*Safety is our main priority and we will continue to follow all Santa Clara County and the State of California guidelines. Please keep your child home if they are displaying any signs of illness and report the absence to the campsite that your child is registered in.

Program Information

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 P.M., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.

KINDERPREP

This class prepares your child for kindergarten with age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun! Your child will gain a basic understanding of shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i e identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet, and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class Requirements for parent participation will vary by center

LITTLE LEARNERS

Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, structured playtime, and simple learning concepts. Children will work on hand-eye coordination and motor skills while gaining independence through circle time, music, songs, stories, play, and arts & crafts. Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

POLICIES

REFUND/ TRANSFER POLICY

Refund and transfer requests need to be made in writing. Refunds and transfers will be given for requests received at least 14 calendar days prior to the start of the program/class. No refunds or transfers will be made for cancellations received by the City less than 14 calendar days prior to the start of the program/class. There will be a $10 refund processing fee for EACH activity.

LEISURE CLASS POLICIES

Our method of registration is designed to odder equal access to all San Jose residents.

Customers can register for any class at the PRNS facility or online. The City does not guarantee participation from one session tot he next. All online, walk-in, mailed, faxed registration will be treated in the same manner. San Jose residents will be given first priority to register. Registration forms will be processed in the order they were received. If a class instructor is absent or a class is canceled due to inclement weather, a make-up class will be added to the end of the session.

INCLUSION POLICY

The City of San José, Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) encourages and supports the participation of individuals with all ability levels in programs and services.
