CONGRATULATIONS for winning the fan vote for this season’s official poster There were fewer submissions this year, but it didn’t make the decision any easier I’m sure. See inside for a peek at all of the awesome submissions this time around. All were worthy of the win for sure, but the fans voted and this season the magical Bella Goth helped win the vote.
A Word from our Editor SIFF is back yet again, now for our 11th season. Every season brings fresh new ideas, and old favourites. We hope you enjoy what is in store for you this time around because SIFF has something for everyone. Over the course of the season you can expect SIFF Buzz to come out every 7 - 10 days. Inside you will find features, updates, announcements, and interviews - so basically everything SIFF.. Be sure not to miss an issue by following us on our many social media sites and on ISSUU where we publish. So, with no further delay, we bring you issue 1 - our kickoff issue to get the buzz going. The poster challenge has wrapped up for another season. The graphic arts talents of our community is honestly mind blowing. It is always great to see all of the different styles we never know what you will come up with. This season we had a small selection, so we hope to see even more next time around. If you come across Gus out there, be sure to congratulate him for this season’s spectacular Bella Goth poster. You will be able to download all of the posters for your Sims 3 or 4 game.

Bree Page is the newest addition to our SIFF Buzz team. Bree has voiced many well know n roles in SIFF films and has stepped up and offered her time to help us with our goal to build a better connection with the Voice Acting community. There are several ideas on the table for our new section, Voice Reels, a feature column to showcase and appreciate the talented voice actors that bring our characters to life. ONE step is that we have opened up a forum section where voice actors can add their contact information, making it easier for voice actors and movie makers to connect. Click HERE to get there. SECOND - SIFF is now open to Voice Actors. Voice Actors can submit their top 3 voiced roles for consideration. The poll will be put out to the film fans, to help us choose their favourite male and female voice actors. Rising Stars is an ever evlovling project. We used to have full magazines for each feature, but as time went on and SIFF continues to grow we came to realize that giving you one full and exciting magazine made more sense. So here we have our new Rising Stars feature insert. Each SIFF Buzz will bring you something new and exciting, so that you can get to know the stars of SIFF up close and personal. We have a great team of freelance and staff reporters working hard to get the news to you. This issue we have Mercedes Vaughn, reporting to you on the first of a series that will cover all of the Battle of the Bands contestants so that you can get to know them before it is time to vote on your fave. In addition, we had the opportunity to travel dow n under to talk to some of Australia’s up and coming Sims film makers.

A look at SIFF from the eyes of a fangirl. Another season of SIFF has arrived! I am so excited! The films are rolling in, and that means awesome parties, glamorous stars, and fabulous outfits! And the incredible films as well, of course! After all, it wouldn’t be an international FILM festival without the films! We have a lot of promising creators in the lineup this season, and I’m eager to see all their creations come to life! But there are some that I just can’t help faw ning over regardless. For instance, in the Master’s category, we have Ansett 4 Sims, a/k/a RomerJon. His music videos always blow me away with the detail in them, the synchronization, coordination, and uncanny, albeit enviable, ability to tell a story. His performance this year is sure to delight! Eee!!! Scrolling through the playbill, I see THREE entries focused on Taylor Swift songs! OMG I love Taylor Swift!!! I don’t care that there are no trailers/previews of these videos yet; they’re Taylor Swift so I’ll definitely be watching them! Is it March 15th yet?! Speaking of the Taylor Swift videos, I checked out Anne Simmer’s play list, and OMG she has Vampire Diaries AND Twilight videos on her channel! I am now even more eager to see her Taylor Swift video, and to meet her in person! And last but not least, I see that Radioactive will be returning this season! It was one of my favorites in the fall, and I’m eager to see what happens nex t! Woo!
