A Word from our Editor Well well, where to start. Things are moving along quickly now at SIFF, with some important reminders in this issue. In particular we are ready to start voting for Film Posters and Film Trailers, so get the details on our website and our social media channels. Click HERE to check out the polls. Also, Battle of the Bands contestants have compiled all of their projects for your enjoyment. See inside for a directory on the bands in the running and prepare to vote for your favourites soon. And last, but not least, the films will be coming soon and there are soooooo many to watch so we will keep you informed on the timeing of viewing and voting when the time comes. Hello again my film-loving darlings. The screen is about to heat up fast. There are only 2 weeks now until the films begin to release, with all films being due between March 15th and 20th. There is going to be some serious film watching ahead so be sure to plan your viewing carefully. The best way to get started is to watch the trailers over the next two weeks, and be sure to cast your votes because the polls are posted for Best Film Trailer and Best Film Poster (in case you didn’t notice the other dozen reminders we put into this issue. LOL We really didn’t want you to miss it) As a side note, you have come to notice that we are including interviews with as many of the film makers as possible. We may not cover them all before film release, but I am having a blast getting to know all of the film makers so you can be sure that we will continue this feature even after we roll up the red carpet, so every filmmaker will have their moment in the spotlight.

Kenzie is rockin’ it out this week as we take a look at some of Fangirl’s fave Battle of the Bands finalists.
I can’t believe it, but it’s almost time for Battle of the Bands voting! There is literally one more week before it begins (March 8)! I am so excited! And let me tell you, it won’t be an easy task choosing the winners this year! We have so many amazing entries! Among the new bands is Hi-5, and being a fan of Asian culture, their K-pop genre makes me extra eager to see what they come up with for their debut season! I love their eclectic sense of fashion ranging from bright colors and vibrant patterns to traditional school girl outfits, and there’s something about Asian pop music’s upbeat vibe that makes me want to break down and dance! Like no one is watching, of course, though I seriously hope no one IS watching.
Two returning bands this season have merged into one – Breaking Karma, with members from the past SIFF BOTB entries Breaking Blue and Karma Sisters. I am so excited to see what this new band comes up brings for us with members of two awesome bands rolled into one!
I’m a fan of rock (well, I’m a fan of almost every genre), so seeing Cross this season is going to be literally rockin’! The girls were voted “most likely to succeed as a band” in high school, so it’ll be awesome to see how they do in Battle of the Bands!
T.A.T.U. Boys are returning after making their SIFF debut in fall 2013, and while the man candy back then was droolworthy, there are now four more members to ogle on the Red Carpet! And one of them is a prince! YUM! I’m officially royally flushed!
