WELCOME TO THE 2017 FALL/WINTER LOOKBOOK! Along with the changing seasons, you will notice a few changes taking place on site as we complete both our Merchant and Affiliate interface updates. We focused a lot of time and energy on improving the Merchant search, so Affiliates can browse and discover new programs as easily as they do while flipping through the pages of this publication. The theme this season is Hygge: the Danish concept of “coziness� that is taking Pinterest by storm. While there are many definitions, they typically involve aspects of contentment, comfort, relaxation, and indulgence. These elements manifest by the environment you create, the clothes you wear, and the company you keep. You will find that our various categories mirror this. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease two 9-inch cake pans with the 2 tbsp butter and dust with 1/4 cup of flour. Shake out and discard any excess flour, and set pans aside. Sift together the remaining 2 1/4 cups flour with the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat the egg whites with 2 tbsp of sugar until stiff peaks begin to form.

With an electric mixer, cream together the remaining sugar with the 3/4 cup butter until light texture. One at a time, beat the egg yolks. Blend in the melted chocolate, the beer, and then gradually beat in the flour mixture. With a rubber spatula, fold in the egg whites, scrape half the batter into each of the cake pans, and bake in the middle of the oven for 30 to 35 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean when done.

Traditionally, when talking about Affiliate Marketing, thoughts immediately go to side banner ads. Many bloggers forget that side banner ads are just one option for including affiliate links on their website. Instead of solely being offered banner ad affiliate links, the options and tools available to Affiliates are growing. More and more, bloggers are able to use affiliate links in creative ways – both on and off their websites. Here are some of the most underutilized (or forgotten) ways to implement affiliate links:
1. IMAGES Did you know that you can add an affiliate link to your own images? If you find that your readers react more positively to original content, why not include affiliate links in your images as well? Adding images will not only help break up a text heavy post, but it makes your blog post much easier to read and by adding a clickable link to it, you may find that people are much more likely to click through and buy!

2. SOCIAL MEDIA Social media might be the easiest way to quickly promote affiliate links and time sensitive deals to your followers. Many people want to use shortened links in their social media posts, but did you know that ShareASale has a tool for this right within your account? Make every character count! ShareASale’s Solution: Create a Custom Link 3. VIDEOS For all you vloggers out there: are you including links within your videos? If you are promoting a product during your video, then you should definitely take the time to find its affiliate link so that you can earn commissions based on any sales you send! Use cues during the video to set up where you want the affiliate links to pop up or at the very least, include them in the video’s description! ShareASale’s Solution: Make-A-Video 4. EMAIL NEWSLETTERS This might be one of the more forgotten places to incorporate affiliate links. The readers who are signing up for your newsletter obviously care enough about your blog to want updates sent to their personal email! Therefore, your newsletter subscription base might be some of your most loyal followers. Use this to your benefit by tastefully including affiliate links where it makes sense. Don’t overwhelm, but if you are discussing your favorite products…then it is the perfect opportunity!
