꿈의 건축 | 추상의 건축화 나는 자면서 꿈을 많이 꾼다. 그리고 꿈을 곧잘 기억하는 편이다. 나는 꿈 속에서 이곳저곳을 배회한다. 가끔은 꿈 속에서 어떤 공간을 대하면 전에 다른 꿈을 꿨을 때 와봤던 느낌이 들곤 한다. 이를 통해 나는 각자의 꿈 속에 현실과 같은, 저마다의 또 다 른 세계가 있다고 생각하게 됐다. 그래서 나는 내 머리 속에 있는 꿈의 세계를 건축화해보고자 했다. 꿈의 건축 (2016) | 디지털 이미지 | 한양대학교 건축학과 졸업전시회 총장상
THE ARCHITECTURE IN A DREAM | architecturalization of abstraction I could remember well about my dream. In my dream I would wander everywhere. Sometimes during in my dream, I would feel that a certain place was quite familiar and I had been here before in another dream. So I realized there is the unique world in a dream to each person. Therefore I wanted to architecturalize the dream-world in my head.

The museum could express the flow of four seasons(from right to left) through only the sense of space and metaphor. So the museum that audience appreciate is an artwork itself. It means an architecture without practical functions would be to seek the pure space aesthetic.

Columns going up to the ground like sprouts.
After going up the stairs, it rains hard in the hot space.
FALL
WINTER
The sunset dyed the space red like a maple leaf.
The monoliths makes water to be cool and the temperature makes you feel cold.

THE LIGHT IN THE PAINTING
레이어의 사원 이것은 회화이며 조각이고 또 건축이다. 건축은 빛 아래서 거대한 매스들을 모으는 것이라고 여겨진다. 이처럼 빛은 건축에서 절대적인 역할을 담당하고 있다. 이 작업에서는 건축에서 빛을 다루는 방식을 회화에 접목시키고자 했다. 그간 회화에서 빛은 표현 대상 중 하나였을 뿐이었다. 그러나 이 작업에서 빛은 건축적인 방식으로 보다 적극적으로 개입한다. 레이어드 스컬프쳐 (2017) | 우드락폼 | 5x10x6m

THE TEMPLE OF LAYERS It is a painting, a sculpture and an architecture. Architecture is considered assembling the magnificent forms in the light. Like this, light is an important factor in the architecture. In this artwork, I introduced the dealing way of light in architecture to this painting. Until now, the light has been one of objects of expression in the painting. However, in this work, light is more actively involved in architectural ways.

THE ARCHITECTURAL PARK Le corbusier proposed the notion of ‘promenade architecture’ in his work. With this concept, I made the architectural scupture that audience could appreciate the beauty of space during a walk.
