Overall, employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 14 percent from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 1.9 million new jobs. Healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any of the other occupational groups. This projected growth is mainly due to an aging population, leading to greater demand for healthcare services.

Our New Home Offers Exciting Opportunities Graduates of the College of Health and Human Services work together, side by side, every day to provide the best integrated healthrelated care possible – and soon our students will learn that way, too. In March 2020, we broke ground for our new College of Health and Human Services, a 94,750 square foot building that will bring almost all of our educational programs under one roof, from eight different buildings across the campus. Scheduled for completion in spring 2022, this new building will provide room for increased program enrollment, and enable our students and faculty to collaborate in ways that have not previously been possible. The new building’s design encourages those within the various disciplines to work and learn together. Faculty can collaborate on educational planning. Students will be exposed to areas outside their own disciplines – better preparing them for their future careers. This state-of-the-art facility will exponentially enhance our ability to offer exceptional interdisciplinary research and scholarship experiences.
