A RECEIPT ACCOUNTABLE FOR PAYMENT OF F U N D S .

I, the subscribed, J e a n Baptiste Baron Petite, stipulated treasurer of the King, acknowledge to have received from Mr. John M y e r s , merchant, established in this city, the sum of thirty-one thousand three hundred and sixty-seven dollars and seventy-two cents ; which he has paid into his Majesty's t r e a s u r y ; accruing from the cargoes of the schooners Concord, H o p e , Sally, and boat Alert, American p r o p e r t y ; the detention of which has been enjoined by the general order of the army issued January 3 , 1811, ( # 3 1 , 3 6 9 72.) For which sum I promise to receipt in the accounts which I shall r e 足 turn of the revenues of the King. In credit of which I have delivered the present, as security for what belongs to M r .
