Honey Chaser There have been few books in which I have been totally enthralled, Honey Chaser is one of these books. The story itself is intriguing with the plot twists and turns and unlimited amount of surprises, but the writing is eloquent and beautiful. It flowed so well that it makes you want to read more. Honey Chasers has been responsible for several late nights, when I thought I would read for a short time, but found myself so engrossed in the story that I read on for hours. Ms. Simone, a freelance writer, who has written for our magazine before, has penned a book which truly shows how deep her talents go. The Honey Chaser involves Simone’s main character Sheila Washington who is being chased by three men: the ghost of a deceased sweetheart, his murderer, and a new lover. She fears the threats made to her by Rick’s murderer and feels she cannot possibly live a normal life. After several years of therapy Sheila finds herself more comfortable without planting roots anywhere. She feels safer being on the move, and travels from city to city, living like a vagabond. It is the unexpected romance of Darren Abruzzo, a suave ItalianFilipino attorney, who makes her life take a turn. After spending so much time alone and on the run, she finds she cannot resist the advances of Darren. Darren is captivated by her beauty. She’s an alluring puzzle he must seduce and Sheila soon discovers the multi-lingual attorney’s talent with his tongue isn’t limited to romance languages. After three romantic days in Darren’s arms, Sheila resumes her plans and heads from Albuquerque to San Diego. Darren is determined to not only get her back to Albuquerque, but to win her guarded heart. She does end up falling for him, but is haunted by her past and is in constant danger. Their attempts to reunite and lead a normal life are
met with many obstacles along the way. This writer knows very well how to construct a story to keep her readers on the edge of their seats. If you are looking for a book that you won’t be able to put down and whose characters you will become so vested in that you will miss them when the story ends, be sure to pick up a copy of Honey Chaser,
