Robbie Bisset
This is your first season at Rusthall, how has it been settling in? It’s been easy settling in to be fair, I enjoyed pre season and felt at home from day one. A few the older lads helped with that but I also knew a few of the boys prior to joining. So far, what has been your most memorable moment at the club? For me, given that it’s my first season it has to be the two FA cup ties against Cray. We played out of our skins in the first game and the replay was even better, especially with the crowd and the extra time equaliser. Where else have you played before? I’ve played quite locally my whole life. Having played for Rusthall and Crowborough at youth level. The last few years I’ve been playing for my university Our progress in both the FA Cup and FA Vase competitions this season was exceptional, the furthest ever in our long history, how does it feel to be part of that? It feels great to be a part of that, it’s a shame that we couldn’t have progressed further but we need to take that kind of form into the league and push up the table There’s a few characters in the squad, do you have a favourite? I wouldn’t say I have a favourite. The obvious ones being fuller and buttsy but all the boys contribute to the dressing room in their own way Do you have any pre match rituals to help prepare yourself for a game? No rituals particularly but I have had the same shin pads since I was 11 and refuse to buy a new pair, so call me superstitious. A tough run of results so far this season, but a few very strong performances, along with a couple of goals added to your own tally - but, what’s the atmosphere in the dressing room like at the moment? Despite results the mood in the dressing room is good, we know from how we’ve played that we are better than a lot teams in this league and that if we keep working hard results will start to fall in our favour. Away from football, what else takes up your time? I Play a lot of golf when I can and try and get up to see my beloved Charlton when we’re not playing A uni graduate, what’s next for you? If I knew the answer to that I’d be a genius.
