Growing up, he watched fast cars in his community knowing he’d be behind the wheel of on someday, and by the time he was 17 he started street racing and never looked back. After spending 9 years in the Kansas Army National

Guard as a diesel mechanic, by age 23 Jordan opened his own automotive repair and performance shop, Manning Automotive, and now 28, he has 5 fulltime employees. When Manning got into street racing, he jumped from car to car and because Wichita was small enough he knew most of the cars in play. A 2004 Mustang with a solid reputation came up for sale and Jordan made the move to acquire it.

Being from Wichita, Jordan knew most of the serious cars in the game and when he saw this one come on the market as a roller, he snapped it up. The ’04 retains most of its stock body and was fitted with a 2003 Cobra front end, custom rear wing and carbon cowl hood. The Cobra front looks wicked and makes a fitting place for the bullhorn exhaust to exit the body.

“I bought the car as a roller and over the past two years it eventually was reborn into a heavy street hitter,” Manning said. “Growing up street racing, running Wichita’s ‘list’ and

hosting cash days at a young age, it was time for me to step my game up. I’m incredibly proud to say I built this car at 23-25 years old with zero sponsors, just me and my shop.”


The ’04 retains most of its stock body and was fitted with a 2003 Cobra front end. A custom rear wing and carbon cowl hood were also added into the mix and painted gun metal gray to match. Although the front clip is minus it’s original Cobra contents, it 14

looks wicked and does make a fitting place for the bullhorn exhaust to exit the body. A Chromoly 10pt cage protects Jordan and the car was also upfitted with a tubular front end with double adjustable struts and subframe connectors.

Jordan says the sound of the bullhorns at 7,400 RPM is music to the ears during a run, and also commented that it’s actually not that loud inside the car on the street.
