Greek Marble Sculptures 1 ARCHAIC GREEK MARBLE HEAD OF APOLLO, the sun god, god of light, music, and the arts. His long hair is centrally parted, combed backwards along the sides of his head and then elaborately looped around itself; from a cult statue. Late 6th-early 5th Century BC. H. 12 1/8 in. (31 cm.)
