Welcome Welcome to our 9th Annual South Central Red Genetics Spring Sale! It is our privilege once again to be working with a great group of Red Angus breeders and friends! We are especially excited to welcome Jeff Earles from 3J Farms to the sale this year. He has been a long-time friend of our group and has built a solid reputation of breeding quality Red Angus cattle in Oklahoma. All the families involved with the South Central Red Genetics group have been raising Red Angus cattle for generations and have made it a priority to produce quality, sound, functional cattle that work in the real world. ey have put their best bulls on test to measure performance and efficiency. A portion of the bulls were fed at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, TX. e Kolle Red Angus bulls were feed tested in Navasota, TX at the Genetic Development Center using the GrowSafe feed efficiency system. Both programs offer extensive data including, but not limited to, ADG, WDA, IMF and REA scans, along with scrotal measurements. ere is not one bull that is right for every program, so once you have identified what economically relevant traits will affect your profitability in your particular environment, you can sort through the data and see which bull will best fit your needs! As soon as the final weights, measurements and ultrasound data has been processed it will be posted online at www.redgenetics.com and available sale day. We also have an excellent set of Red Angus females for sale this year! ese guys have loaded up and brought their best to Overbrook! We have an excellent selection of females ranging from open heifers, bred heifers, bred cows, cow/calf pairs and a select group of commercial heifers and cows! So, whether you’re looking for a show prospect for your junior or wanting to restock the pasture with quality replacement females, I guarantee it will be worth the drive!
