he Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin provides the most direct access to the largest group of successful builders and associate members as well as government staff and elected officials in the HBA’s six-county area (Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson). With more than 700 member companies, the HBA represents thousands in all areas of the home building industry. Builder members construct more than 95 percent of the new homes in the Greater Austin market and 87 percent of the HBA’s member firms are small, locally-owned businesses. As a builder, subcontractor, supplier, vendor or professional services firm, your HBA membership creates unsurpassed opportunities, helping you achieve your goals and enhance your bottom line. A strong organization is the key to success in any industry. The HBA stays abreast of changes that affect the home building industry and impact your business. The HBA monitors government affairs in six counties, more than 30 municipalities and on the state and feder-

al levels. By becoming a member of the HBA, you are strengthening the home building industry and boosting your voice in policy making where issues affect your bottom line. The HBA’s key advocacy role is to protect every family’s right to homeownership by ensuring that those who protect us, teach our children, and provide essential services can afford to buy a new home. The HBA’s staff, in conjunction with the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), is committed to defending your company’s interests and keeping you informed. HBA members are leaders, innovators, and among the most professional in Austin’s home building industry. They garner positive public response and media attention through the annual Benefit Home and other community service projects. Members enjoy the prestige of belonging to one of the nation’s most respected and widely known associations.
