ou have probably heard the joke about the chicken, the pig and the breakfast. It goes like this: "A pig and a chicken are walking down the road. The chicken says: "Hey pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!" Pig replies: "Hmm, maybe, what would we call it?" The chicken responds: "How about 'ham-n-eggs'?" The pig thinks for a moment and says: "No thanks. I'd be committed, but you'd only be interested!" Of all the reasons for the high attrition rate in real estate, I believe this is the biggest one. After 25 years of owning a school and talking to people, I hear these words often—“I’m thinking about trying this.” “I like looking at houses.” “My friend said I would be good at it.” And every now and then someone comes through the door and you can feel the energy. This is a person who will not be denied. The commitment is so strong, so clean, so congruent you just know they will do very well. And they typically do. I wanted to share a poem with you by W.N.
