am honored and excited to be the 2014 president of the Austin Chapter of WCR. I would like to take the opportunity to pause and reflect on our organization's rich past and our unwavering ability to make our mark on Texas Real Estate over the past 57 years. WCR National has made a few changes in our mission statement. It is now stated that “We are a network of successful REALTORS, advancing women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry and the communities we serve.” With this new mission in mind I have to admit that this is much improved because it reflects what I have witnessed being a WCR member. When you get a group of professional women together each woman can bring so much to the conversation. We all can look back at some point in our life or career with a shared sisterhood of

At WCR-Austin we take an interest in every valuable member and do what we can to advance and empower them to their greater success. Our goal in 2014 will be when a member leaves our business resource meetings, an education class or an event; they go out into the world as individuals but stronger, more educated and confident. To do this WCR is constantly looking to collaborate with all of our members and industry leaders to come together and take our greatest gifts; our ideas, our insight, our vision and blend them to make our organization better.
