AQUAEROBICS

Energize yourself with this invigorating workout! This is our basic shallow water class focused on cardiovascular fitness with special attention to strength and flexibility. All fitness and swimming levels are welcome! Check individual pool schedules for available times.

AQUA POWER

Experience the difference in deep water. This basic deep water class is our uses buoyant and resistant equipment to provide an excellent cardiovascular workout with zero impact! Aqua Power is designed for all levels. Participants should be comfortable in deep water. Check individual pool schedules for available times.

AQUA YOGA

By bringing Yoga to the water, there is no gravity and the water will take the pressure off your joints. It will help develop strength, static balance and will increase overall range of motion. This low-impact class will help develop strength and balance while relaxing in the water. Aqua Yoga is for all skill levels and abilities. Check individual pool schedules for available times.

THE RIVER CHALLENGE

Build endurance while toning muscle and gaining strength in this program guaranteed to keep your heart rate pumping. The River Challenge employs low impact resistance training to work every part of your body.  Check individual pool schedules for available times.

CURRENT CHANNEL WALK / RUN

Walk or run against the Current Channel at EPCC, MSCC, or Wilson pool for an excellent cardiovascular workout. Improve circulation and strength with this low-impact activity. Check individual pool schedules for available times. No instructor present.

S.M.I.L.E.

(Slow Movement Intensity Lowered Exercise) This shallow water class focuses on improving circulation, strength, range of motion and flexibility through lowimpact exercise. Check individual pool schedules for available times. All participants welcome!

PREGNANCY FITNESS

Energize your pregnancy! This shallow water class focuses on pregnancy fitness with special attention to improved circulation and flexibility. This is a drop-in class at Matt Dishman CC only.

AQUA ZUMBA

Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in our pool with exciting calorie-burning, bodyenergizing, movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and water resistance are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. This drop-in class is offered at East Portland Community Center Pool only.

Portland Parks & Recreation is super excited to bring back Summer Swim Teams for 2022. Each of our summer pools will have coaches leading teams through hour-long practices Monday–Friday. Swimmers will work on the four main competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle), starts and turns and building up their swimming endurance.

Due to very low staffing levels in our Aquatic division, we will not be able to coordinate running swim meets this summer; there will be no dual meets nor a Championship event for 2022. Each team will have a few sessions throughout summer where they will have fun races, relay events or run through a full meet lineup of races during their normal practice hours. We do hope to bring back weekend competitions next year. Our Summer Swim League program is still designed as a novice, competitive experience developed to enable kids to have a fun swim team experience. This league is not intended for club swimmers. Eligible participants must be able to swim past our Sea Lion level: able to swim the length of the pool in both front crawl and back crawl.

A team swim cap and a team t-shirt will be issued for each participant.
