GOD IS NOT DONE WITH THE MEN OF CANADA. I BELIEVE HE HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN.

I wish I could bring you with me into every moment of ministry during the year. Every time I see or hear what God is doing in men’s lives, I am mindful a whole team of people helped to make this happen. God takes your prayers, financial support, and service and weaves it all together into a powerful story of transformation in men’s lives.

Transformation happens suddenly or gradually, over time. But make no mistake, God is taking your faithful investment and using it to build stronger, godly men.

IMAGINE

Imagine what it would be like to have over 50,000 young men gather together to hear a story of how God has transformed a man’s life. We all want to see men of every generation following Jesus and becoming who God designed them to be. Imagine the impact and inspiration it would give these men to hear how God is active in the lives of others they have heard of and respect.

This kind of inspiration is what happens in every episode of This Is Me TV.

This online video series targeted towards inspiring youngmen towards Jesus had over 350,000 views in the past year!

DISRUPTIVE

Every time we can speak truth and hope into the life of a man, there is the opportunity for God’s grace to disrupt a man's life. He takes the direction we are moving towards and changes our vision for life.

The theme for our conferences this year was Disruptive. I wish you could have been with us in different cities to see how Jesus was disrupting men’s lives. Multiple cities saw a tremendous response of men beginning their journey of following Jesus.

Each of our conferences closed with a challenge for mento identify whose life God was calling them to disrupt, and then to write that name down as an act of surrender to God. We heard stories of men who surrendered themselves to missional efforts like helping the fatherless, rescuing women and girls from sex trafficking, and entering into full-time Christian ministry as pastors or missionaries. Then, there were piles of individual names — friends, family members, neighbours, and co-workers. What an opportunity for God’sdisruptive grace to multiply beyond a conference and filter into the everyday moments of life.

MULTIPLYING

The world needs more godly men. This statement is evident when we look around. The best way to get there is through increasing the number of men who are committed to the mission of helping other men follow Jesus. This mission is why we have such a substantial commitment to developing leaders across the country.

In the past year, you helped to establish over 30 community networks of leaders from various churches who are working together in the mission to disciple men. We are committed to working towards even more significant growth of networks in communities over the next several years.

HELPED TO ESTABLISH 30+ COMMUNITY NETWORKS OF LEADERS

You have also helped invest in current and future generations of pastors, so they are better equipped to invest in the lives of men. We now have two partnerships with Bible Colleges and seminaries for a course on the discipleship of men.

This multiplying of leaders is now growing into francophone communities as well. A significant effort to develop leaders within French-speaking communities took more steps forward in the past year.

CHALLENGES

Last year had many difficulties for the ministry. A major project to strengthen our database took longer than expected. We also experienced a problem in growing our revenues to match the growth in ministry opportunities. These circumstances resulted in the need to refine and refocus some of our ministry programs and staffing as we head into a new fiscal year.

WE ARE LIVING IN ONE OF THE MOST CRITICAL MOMENTS FOR MEN

In the twenty-four years since Promise Keepers Canada began, we are living in one of the most critical moments for men. The world is using language like toxic masculinity. There is confusion about what it means to be a man, and why gender even matters anymore. Men have a lot of pressure and distractions in life. We want to be a success, but we aren't always sure what that means today.

I genuinely believe we are living in a defining moment for men. When men are walking in God’s vision for who they are, it brings life to the people and world around them. I have never seen a time where there is as much conflict and confusion about men as there is now. Satan is at work to takeout men and manhood.

PRESSING

The apostle Paul once talked about “pressing on toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” To press on, you have to press into what matters most in life. An athlete who is pursuing a goal has to press into everything that will help him reach the goal.

Together, we have a vision for the importance of leaving no man behind and building up godly men. Together, we are going to press into that vision. We will continue to seek innovation and multiplication to achieve the mission.

Celebrate what God has allowed us to do together. Prepare yourself to take this to a new level of impact in the days ahead.
