After a week-long residency at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater, choreographer and dancer Jasmine Hearn will present her in-progress piece memory keep(h)er. Melding performance art, postmodern dance, video and song, the piece strives to keep the memories and stories of black female elders alive. She draws on the influence of her grandmother and other women from her community to create the sound and choreography. A discussion will follow. 8 p.m. Fri., July 31.
