Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends and musical associates of Dave Cherry, who passed away after illness last month at age 66. Dave played guitar and sang in numerous Altoona area bands and acoustic projects; including Sunrise, Crossroads, Legends of Rock and Roll, and the acoustic duos Quick Picks (with Rick Wertz) and Big Daddy & Baby Blue Eyes (with his daughter, Christa). He also toured the Eastern seaboard with the U.S. Navy rock band Long Island Sound. A music scholarship fund has been established at Altoona Area High School in his name. News and notes…A new album paying tribute to Ceann singer Patrick Halloran has been issued.
