4D articulated cut
By completely re-thinking the way a jacket is constructed we’ve managed to create an ergonomic cut which perfectly compliments the body’s motion during paddling. While keeping the jacket closefitting, Palm’s 6 panel box cut allows 4-way curvature along both the horizontal and vertical axis using the minimum of seams and thereby reducing garment weight.
3D articulated cut
We removed all seams from the high flex underarm area, reducing seam stress whilst decreasing weight. 3D articulated garments are ‘pre-bent’ at the elbows, knees, sleeves and waist to improve mobility and reduce excess fabric.
XP 4-layer fabric
High performance 4-layer fabric engineered for extended durability, waterproofness and breathability. XP 4-layer fabrics feature DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treated Nylon 6 as face fabric and a hydrophilic membrane as well as a microporous, hydrophobic coating as waterproof barriers. A tricot lining protects the membrane on the inside. See page 51

Being the dive industry’s standard, brass coil zips are renowned for durability and watertight performance. With air tightness up to 300 mbar and lateral chain strenght of 500 N, the YKK® BDM brass coil zip is the workhorse of waterproof zips and therefore used on the Stikine, our heavy duty surface immersion suit.

Our stretchy yet grippy AGS neoprene neck gasket is a great alternative to latex, keeping the garment almost as dry while vastly increasing comfort levels for frequent paddlers, those with latex allergies and when used in salt water.
In order to increase the durability of neoprene, high strength aramid fibres are bonded to its outer surface for outstanding puncture and abrasion resistance while still maintaining excellent levels of stretch.

Known for long-lasting durability and exceptional strength-toweight ratio, CORDURA® fabrics offer high resistance to tears and abrasion. We use CORDURA® for the seat and knee areas of technical outer wear and for high abrasion products such as PFDs or throwbags.

SERVICE AND REPAIRS
XP 3-layer fabric
Pressure tested to 500 mbar, these zips are exceedingly watertight while being more flexible and therefore more comfortable and easier to operate than brass coil zips. We chose the TIZIP® MasterSeal 10 for entry and relief zips in our more dynamic and versatile surface immersion suits and bibs.
A new key feature on our Women’s Elemtent surface immersion suit and Women’s Core 4 Trisuli onepiece is a rear relief opening that drops down without having to take off any other apparel or pieces of gear.
Twin waist paddle jackets and pants feature an inner skirt in addition to the adjustable outer waistband of the garment. Twin waists create an additional seal between jacket, pant and sprayskirt, minimising water ingress at the waist.
