Are there natural products I can take for my seasonal allergies?

Perpetual symptoms of a runny nose, stuffy sinuses, tickly throat, sneezing, teary eyes, and coughing are downright frustrating. The traditional Chinese medical herbs found in Omega Alpha’s liquid Resprit can quickly clear the throat and lungs, as well as soothe the areas. It is popular during the fire season. A plant pigment (“flavonoid”) called Quercetin functions as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory to battle the symptoms of upper-respiratory allergies. It is found in green tea, apples, onions, berries, but high therapeutic doses are best achieved through supplementation with, eg., Omega Alpha’s Quercetin capsules or in combinations such as New Root Herbal’s Vitamin C8 capsules. Quercetin is typically used for maintenance and prevention, but can also be found in a combination capsule called D-Hist (by Othro Molecular), where it is combined with the likes of Stinging Nettle, Bromelain, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, and Vitamin C to effectively control seasonal allergy symptoms. There is even a D-Hist Jr. for children. Many clients report benefit in using Omega Alpha’s Lung Flush periodically to keep the lungs in top shape. An inert nasal gel, e.g. Secaris or Rhinaris, along with a good air-purifier can also effectively minimize the triggering of allergy symptoms.
