nce upon a time tattoos were taboo. Hip Hop culture has changed all that. Rap revolutionized the form of body art that was once restricted to Harley Davidson riders, prison inmates, and hardcore rock stars. People who call rap’s current obsession with rock culture a “trend” obviously haven’t done their Hip Hop history research. Rock stars have been influencing rap since the beginning. They had us tat, tat, tating it up long before skull belts and metal chains, and today, tattoos are an all-out phenomenon.
