What are the advantages and difficulties of a company with production base in Greece? Apart from the domestic raw material and the country’s geographical position, which for us means being next to two very important markets, such as Italy and Turkey, it is hard to find any other advantages. The production price in Greece is high, the bureaucracy is complicated and the general ideological and social environment is negatively predisposed to industry, with obvious negative consequences on the Greek economy (decrease of exports and employment etc.). How does Hellenic Fabrics react to the ever-increasing ecological awareness and the more detailed attention paid to fabrics’ quality? The company pays great attention to the protection of the environment, investing large sums of money every year to the management of the effluent waste of the production procedure in conjunction

with other actions in the context of sustainable development. For several years we produce thermal energy from biomass in one of the production units and eco-cotton denims from domestic production, is included in our products. For all these reasons, the company was awarded in 2009 from the EBEA (Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry). How do you manage to maintain your customers’ trust in this particular hard period that we are in? To which sections do you pay more attention? The company manages to maintain customer loyalty by offering high quality products combined with excellent service to the customer. The continuous development of new denim fabrics is also particularly important to our customers.
