How do you incorporate women's advocacy in your work? It seems simple, but the biggest thing that I do is use my voice. I call out the things that aren't right, even when I'm terrified or I know I'll be harshly judged. I also incorporate as many women as possible into my business. I am a female music producer. Only about 5% of music producers are women. The music industry is extremely far behind in terms of gender equality. I put out an entire mixtape that I produced by myself to show other girls that it was possible for them, too. It sounds small, but even just having another girl to look up to in a male dominated field is powerful for us. I also believe that all of us are connected, so any time that we choose to love ourselves better or value ourselves more, we don't just bless ourselves. We are also blessing all women.

MUSIC

How would you categorize your music style? I try not to box myself in too much but my focus is making really anthemic pop that's got alternative sounds and massive choruses. My writing partners and I create all of my work with a live audience in mind because I want my show to be really exciting and special for my fans.
