What initially got you interested in acting? My older sisters are actors, so when I was about 5, my parents let me try acting. I can remember how fun it was to play pretend in the very first roles I got to do. I’m so glad I get to keep doing it as an actual job!
You and your sisters have a Youtube channel called, ‘Three Ginger Sisters’. How did the creation of that channel come about? We had been traveling back and forth from Denver to LA for several years before we finally made the move as a family to Los Angeles for my sisters and me to pursue acting more. And that was when there was a writer’s strike in Hollywood and suddenly, there wasn’t much work for actors, especially kids. So, our manager suggested that we make our own content. We decided to do sketch comedy so we could keep working on our acting skills, and to make that happen, we had to learn how to write scripts and how to film and edit a video and everything! We kept even our terrible first sketches on the channel to give people hope, haha! We learned a lot!
How did you react when you got cast on All That? Oh my gosh, I was so excited! We were living in Tokyo, Japan (for my dad’s job) when my agent had me send in an audition tape for it. When I got a callback, my mom and I flew to Los Angeles. We had only been back in Tokyo for a day or so when I got the call that I was cast. It was really early in the morning in Tokyo and I have the video on my Instagram where you can see my head pop out of my covers as soon as I heard my agent’s voice on the phone. It was so amazing!
Is it surreal to be on such an iconic network? What are some of your favorite Nickelodeon shows? Nick is such a part of my childhood, haha! I loved Blue’s Clues and Dora the Explorer when I was little, and then Avatar the Last Air Bender when I got older and hung out with my cool cousins. My current favorite show (aside from All That, of course!) is Henry Danger. I have binged the entire series. This summer, when I got to go to the premiere of Dora and the Lost City of Gold I had to pinch myself! What a full circle moment!
What has acting on a live sketch comedy show taught you about yourself? I have learned how much I love performing in front of people. There is just something so cool about being able to share what we’ve been working on all week and get an immediate reaction to it. The great thing about sketch is that there is room for improv and funny stuff happens all the time, especially when some of the original cast members are in a sketch. It is so hard to keep a straight face across from Kel Mitchell!
Were you a fan of sketch comedy before being cast on the show? Yes! It’s such a fun kind of comedy because you’re never quite sure what’s going to happen or how far a joke will go.

What has been your favorite sketch so far? I love the sassy babies in Babies who Brunch/Babies who Bounce. The characters are SO FUNNY! It takes 2 hours to get into the bald cap for that sketch, and I love how it helps me transform into baby Papyrus! I also love Storytime with Arianna (Nathan Janak is SO GOOD as Arianna!) and the hilarious twists on original fairytales the writers have come up with. Keep watching! One of my very favorite characters I get to play, Sam, is in an upcoming sketch! I think you’ll love her.
Do you hope to do more comedy work in the future or branch into dramatic work? I’ve been lucky to have done some other kinds of comedy and a little drama and right now, I really love comedy. I love to make people laugh and make them happy. Life can be kinda hard and it’s really cool to bring some joy into people’s lives.
As your career moves forward are there other areas in the entertainment industry you hope to work in? I really love being an actor—it’s so awesome to be a part of a whole creative team of people that bring something cool into the world. I’m also learning how to animate, so maybe I’ll get to draw a cartoon someday!
What advice do you have for aspiring actors? My family always reminds me that being an actor is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to be ready to work for a lot of years, getting better at what you do. Take acting classes, study storytelling and create your own content. You want to be ready when your big break comes your way! And it will!

Did you always know you wanted to be an actress?
How do you usually go about picking projects to work on?
Yes, I have always loved performing, I have a very active and creative imagination. If I wasn't coming up with different skits and putting on plays for my family, I was making up songs, and singing and dancing around the house. I have always been artistically inclined and enjoyed developing different personalities and character
It’s a feeling of whether I relate or vibe the character. Or if it's a challenge I am excited to take on.
How did the opportunity to be in ‘The Rocketeer’ come about? I had done some other voice-overs for Disney, which gave me the opportunity to audition for this role. The audition process from the first audition was almost a year.
What advice do you have for aspiring actors? Do it because you love it, you enjoy it. For the art and creativity, not for the money or fame. It should be for the love, that way you are not focused on the time it takes, the no’s you get, the rejections you will face, but rather the opportunities you will embrace that one day will elevate you to the place where you can show the world your creativity and this art you enjoy.
You also voice a character on Nickelodeon for the show ‘Wonder Park’. What have you learned from doing voice-over work? Voice-over definitely is a different way of expressing your creativity. With acting on screen, you can both see and hear a person's emotions. In voice-over work, you only have your voice to create the scene.
You played Carmelita on ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ a character which everyone couldn’t help but love and hate at the same time. What was it like getting into the mindset of that character? It was a fun challenge because Carmelita is the complete opposite of my personality. I wanted to bring her alive in a way that was true to the book series but still have fun with her by adding my own comedic timing.
