Holding Staff Accountable for Performance Description: Supervising staff in public schools carries a central challenge: How do we hold individuals accountable when they are not performing the way we know they can, within the complex web of legal rights and issues that exist in the school environment? How do we protect ourselves and our district if efforts to get staff back on track do not succeed? This workshop shows participants how to: maintain a positive climate while addressing the weak performance of some staff, constructively managing defense reactions, and helping employees assume ownership of their own corrective action plan Date: Jan. 8, 2016 Time: 8 am registration and coffee, 8:30 am-3:30 pm program, lunch on your own Audience: Facility directors, head custodians and maintenance supervisors Location: SWBOCES, 450 Mamaroneck Avenue, 3rd Floor, Harrison, NY 10528 Fee: $239 per participant for CoSer 644 Members $287 per participant for CoSer 644 non-members Check/Money order only; Sorry, no cash or credit cards Presenter: Jeff Olefson Contact: Chelsea Karp 914-345-8500 ext. 3136 ckarp@swboces.org
